1. 含义与语感

open to 的意思是“对……持开放态度”，即“乐意考虑”。词典中将 open to suggestions 解释为“有意愿考虑新的想法”。在此基础上加上 Would you be open to，就成了一个礼貌的提问：“您是否有意愿考虑……？”

该表达在开源领域非常实用的原因是 把决定权交给了对方 。如果外部贡献者直接发送包含大量重构或新选项的 PR，维护者就会面临不得不拒绝对方已付出努力的压力。如果先用 Would you be open to ...? 询问，维护者就可以毫无压力地回答“好”、“换成别的方式更好”或“超出范围”。实际上，也有很多仓库要求先开启 Issue 并达成共识后再发送 PR。

注意语法。由于 to 是介词，后面应接 动名词(-ing)或名词。不是 Would you be open to add ...，而是 Would you be open to adding ...。

情况 1：功能提议 Issue

Would you be open to adding a --dry-run flag to the restore command? I'd be happy to send a PR if this sounds reasonable.

如果在提议后面加上“如果觉得合理，我很乐意发个 PR”，就能明确表明这不是在把工作甩给别人。

情况 2：提出设计替代方案时

Would you be open to a small refactor here? Splitting reconcile() into two functions would make the new check easier to test.

情况 3：在 Code Review 期间建议扩大范围时

Would you be open to handling the IPv6 case in this PR as well, or would you prefer a separate one?

加上 or would you prefer ...? 给出选项会显得更加温和。

3. 相似表达与区别

• Would it make sense to ...? 意为“这样做合理吗？”，比起对方的意向，它更倾向于询问合理性。后面接动词原形。
• Would you accept a PR that ...? 意图更直接。当你已经明确计划发送 PR 时使用。
• What do you think about ...? 这是一个最开放的问题。在还没有具体提议时征求意见。

4. 韩国人常犯的错误

• Would you be open to add a new flag? to 后面误用了动词原形。
  • 修改后的句子：Would you be open to adding a new flag?
• I humbly request you to please kindly consider my suggestion. 堆砌了 humbly、please、kindly，导致语气过于卑微。在英语工作对话中反而显得很不自然。
  • 修改后的句子：Would you be open to this approach?
• I will make PR for this feature. 给人一种未经协商直接通知的感觉，且漏掉了冠词 a。
  • 修改后的句子：Would you be open to a PR for this? I'm happy to work on it.
